Fog Lights

Damn Mike!.....
I forgot about your other question!....

Do you mean the tailights when they were white?(those were covers that I painted to match)

or do you mean the Altezza's that are on there now?

The altezzas that are on there now... I like those cause I'm not a big fan of the chrome ones, but yours look like the areas around the lights are darker, and the reverse bulb looks like the stock one. Those are cool... did you do that yourself or buy them? I love 'em!

And on the fog light question, you really cleared up a lot for me. I appreciate it. Just one more thing.... so am I just snipping ONE wire? The one that from the fogs or the headlights? Or am I snipping BOTH headlight and fog light wires that go to the relay? Cause you mentioned both, and I'm not quite positive on that.... thanks man.

Hey man no prob.....

You are only cutting one wire.....(fog light)...

The altezza's are standard carbon fiber....actually there aren''t any reverse bulbs in the housing....they are strobes wired to the backup light circuit.....

Thanks DVS! I'm gonna be trying this in about an hour or so, so I'll let you know how it goes...

Strobes? Damn that's awesome!!!!!!!!!!! Where did you get the altezza's from????

Thanks Mike!....
I got them from procarparts.com (yikes!)...but everything turned out ok....good luck on the project!

PS....(I just got home from bloomington!!)...I was down there this morning getting rid of some audio stuff!

Problem!!!!!!

DVS.... when I went to take out the air filter etc... you know the piece that the filter sits in? Well it's kinda attached to the side of the corner panel on the passenger side. How do I get that piece off? Theres a little round piece holding it to the side panel, does that just pop off or what? Thanks....

Oh yeah....I forgot abot that pain in the azz piece!...(I removed mine along time ago...I have a KKM open element filter)....from what I remember, that piece does just pop off....with a lot of FORCE!!...I remember that you have to use a lot of grunt to pull that thing off...it is just attach to the inside fender well.....give it a go and let me know....

D

DEFEATED!

Okay so I finally got that piece out (all it took was getting a screwdriver under the small head piece and popping it outward which released the piece) and then I got the relay box off the holder, and pulled the wires out, and NO LIGHT BLUE OR GREEN WIRE!!!! AHHHHH!!! I only have one big set of wires going into the relay box, but none are light blue or green.... so now I'm not sure what I'm doing. Any suggestions???

(By the way.... you just got back from Bloomington??? That's crazy man!!! Next time you're down here you'll have to let me know!)

Ok Mike.......

The "big set" of wires comming out of the relay box...
is it comprised of a bunch of smaller wires?perhaps hidden by wire tubing?(around 16 guage).......

If so, here is an idea...get a partner....(a friend,a dad,a mom, a sister,brother..etc), and a circuit tester.....
turn on headlights and make sure fog light button is pushed to on......
take the circuit tester and test each wire for a signal(hot)... as you identify the ones that light up the circuit tester, hold it in place and have your partner turn off the fog lights....if signal now goes away, chances are you have identified the correct wire....but check all wires for the same action....hopefully there will be only one that reacts that way.......

Let me know.....

Hey D

Yea when I finally got to the relay box there's a big thick plastic tube coming out of it, so I took the relay box off it's spot and cut the cover off the tube, and peeled back the tubing, and there's some wires in there (maybe 4 or 5) that are pretty thick wires, and the rest are about 16 or 18 gauge.....

Another guy on here with a '95 is trying stuff with me. I'm gonna do some research tomorrow through my owner's manual, cause someone told me that that particular relay isn't the one we're looking for, that it's somewhere else. I'll keep you posted...

Well rydinhigh found something about another relay, but when you asked about the wires coming out of the relay... what were you thinking? Do you think there could still be a fog light wire in there even though it's not the same color??
