Parking lights/fog lights

I did the same thing taxxman said to do in his instructions. If you do this it'll work...
3) cut the DB/LG wire
4) connect a new wire to it about 12" long
5) cnnect this wire to the brown wire coming off the parking lamp assembly (that's the + for the parking lamps)
6) test it!
7) close it all up and roll!

DEFEATED!

So I finally get into the compartment after taking out the airbox etc, and my relay box is not in the same place yours is.... my relay box is right where your picture says 'Parking light wiring', and there is no light blue or green wire..... so now I'm lost.....

that relay in the 95's you are talking about is not for parking lights. Go look in the back of your Explorer manual under relays. It told me where it is. Im going in tommorrow to figure this damn thing out for us 95 owners.

Woohoo!! I finally got the fog lights to work with the parking lights and high beams. Thank you, NC-X, very very much, for the very detailed instructions via pictures. It's true that "a picture worth a thousand words".

congrats, i'm glad the pics have been helpful

Thanks very much!! Here're a couple of pics I took a few nights ago.

Unfortunately, one of my Eurolites fog light bulbs burnt out so I have the stockers back in for now.

billy you got to show me the right wire to cut and rewire!

I'll help ya out. Don't worry.

I just did the mod and unfortunately I don't have a camera so no pics. All the wire colors are correct and I did the connection in the wire loom behind the passenger side headlight where the two small looms that go the the parking lights come off the main loom. You will however need to remove the air box and the plastic flap that the air inlet tube goes through in order to gain access to the looms. Pretty close to NC-X's third picture. The brown wire is there and so is the blue/lt. green. There was no need to add the 12" of wire. All I did was cut the Blue/lt. green in the large loom and turn it down the small loom and connect it to the brown wire with a Scotch connector. Taped the cut Blue/Lt. green wire so it can't get into trouble with an open end and then retaped all the looms closed again that I had opened up and that was it.

also to make sure there's no problems, make sure the wire is 18 or 20 gauge, ive heard of problems before
