I read the thread and only see two unanswered questions, 1-what is the resistance of the 3-4 shift solenoid and 2- would the check engine light come on if solenoid was left unplugged? The resistance of the 3-4 solenoid is 26-40ohms. The check engine light comes on if I leave the connector to the trans(3-4 shift and tcc) unplugged when swapping a trans, and ususally sets two codes. Sometimes it doesn't come on right away, but usually during the road test. The shift solenoids are constantly fed VPWR which in 94 should be 12v(battery voltage) the pcm controls the ground side of the circuit. This is from the 94 shop manual and memory so I am 99% sure this info is correct..
