Would this 2 inch body lift work on a 98 explorer sohc v6 automatic 4x4 sport

Unlikely.

That lift appears to have nuts and bolts. On a 2nd gen Explorer, the body mount itself is threaded and acts as the nut.

Therefore the chances of those bolts being the right length and the right thread are slim.

Buy 2" blocks from Zone Offroad and find the body bolt length chart on this site somewhere. Then buy new bolts that are 2" longer.

The bumpers won't line up though and will look goofy.

there is a bracket layout with dimensions on this sight if you want to fab your own. I believe they might be for a 3 inch lift but you can subtract the inch on the hole locations.
