Ford Pass for PIU?

I see people use this for remote start, but I’m not seeing any of those options. I’m guessing Sync is required? I didn’t think PIUs came with sync, at least my last two cars haven’t. It seems that all the fun stuff is centered around having sync. It’s a shame that they don’t include it in all cars.

Sync is required to run Ford Pass, I have a remote start, it cost $300 to be installed, my vehicle don't have Sync (Sync is an option on FPIU or FPIS)

My 2017 had Sync, but not FordPass remote start/lock functionality. My 2021 has both.
