Ford Racing Performance Parts Underdrive Pulley Kit

So I was reading a review on this product (BTW good idea to make reviews on products...I love it ) I cannot find this product anywhere for my explorer...can someone direct me where to look?

Also, it says the price is around 100$....ASP wants 300$ for their pulley. Whats the difference?

Did you ever check Ford motor sport? I remember a while ago, the Ford dealers sold those catalogs for about $5. They came out every year. Check WWW.JCWhitney.Com. They have a pretty big inventory of all kinds of accessories.

just checked, I saw nothin

That website had some pulleys for foreign vehicles, but not for your vehicle. Sorry about that. Maybe if you could get the motorsport catalog, they might have something, although most of the stuff there is for the 5.0 V8. That catalog is in the product review section on this website.

The pulley, actually the pulley and harmonic ballancer in a single unit for the 4.0 motor is more expensive than the simple pulley for the 5.0 motor because it is far more complex.

ASP is the only source at the current time. I got mine from Doug at Bama Chips ( http://www.bamachips.com/ ).

have you posted results or opinions yet Al ?

More usefull infohttp://underdog-performance.com/id92.html.
Got mine off another site that just had a grp buy 275.00 shipped

I tried using the 5.0 pulley kit for the 'neer but it does not fit The Ex and Mountys have an additional idler pullie between the alternator and the power steering pump that gets in the way of the oversized water pump pulley.

The kit I posed was the 4.6 for my 'stangGT. I think that they will fit then newer x's with SOHC 4.6's, I posted it for that and the fact that there are quite a few 'stang owners here too.

But I must repeat the 94-95 FRPP Mustang pullies do not fit 5.0 Mountaineer or Explorer

If you could find a way to do away with the upper idler pulley, then it could work. By the looks of mine, if you were to remove this idler pulley, you would have belt rubbing issues.
