For that to happen, air would be drawn from the exhaust and the fuel charge would be forced back through the intake. Also the ignition spark would fire before the fuel is injected. I don't see it happening, I'm with RangerX, why do you ask?
Can be done. Different camshaft, oil pump, water pump and move the crank position sensor. Flip the diff and use reverse rotation ring/pinion gears and reverse starter rotation.
A custom torque converter if trying to use an automatic transmission might be all thats needed to get the transmission to work but a manual transmission would likely be the better path.
