Hi all. Power liftgate was opening erractically on my 2018 Explorer so I replaced the power actuator and module. Liftgate opens and closes manually but no operation with the door button, dash button or key fob. Understand there is some reprogramming that needs to be done but haven't located the proper module to reset. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Using the handy Search feature I found this post; Power Liftgate
So if I understand the issue correctly, you went from an intermittent opening to no opening at all except for manual operation. Are you sure the motor (actuator) is getting power to it?

Yes, the liftgate/trunk module requires PMI when replaced.

Forscan with extended license and proper interface *should* be able to do it. You'll need to either upload the module's data from the old one first or download the as-built from Ford in order to perform the procedure.

Hi Peter, sorry for the delayed response. Out for a few days and no access to internet. Checked the post but that refers to a power liftgate reset. According to my dealer the liftgate requires a reprogramming. The actuator does get power but there was no intermittent opening after parts replacement. Works fine manually. Bill

Thanks. Don't have the old module so will need to download the as-built data from Ford. Not sure how to do that but will research.
