Found a good place to mount my amp

super nice installs.was wondering where i wanted mine got it under the seat now but left long wire to move it. im going in same spot. thanks for sharing that. sine you removed the factory amp and sub it doesnt haved to bypassed , does it? thanks

Thanks for sharing, White97Jimmy! I think I'll make this my next project. I don't know why I hadn't thought about mounting an amp in that location. -It just makes total sense. I don't think it will have a problem with heat, but if it does I'll just rig some fans in that enclosure like Mountaineer97TM has done.

Thanks for the props!...I have had absolutely no problems with heat whatsoever. It probably helps that I almost always have a window open in the truck (I don't use my AC). I have since built a smaller box for my sub so that I can use my 3rd row of seats (although no one has ever sat back there yet!).

I will be building a new box to the JL specs, since I just made a makeshift one to fit in the tiny cargo area, and it does not have enough airspace.

nice installs.if you remove the jbl amp and sub do you still need to bypass the amp for after market hu ,subs, and amp?that back panel looks pretty rough to get off,lol. thanks
