Found a NEST!

Just like what it says. When I was doing the 00M12 fix, I took off the lower intake manifold and found a mouse nest tucked under the intake and web of wires against the block. I have not noticed any performance gains from this mod (removing the nest), but it's good to have that sucker gone! Luckily I didn't find any mice while sucking it out with the shop vac either....

My dad once had a nest in his air ducts many years back which involved sucking out insulation and other crap out of his dash. Hopefully other mice don't find their way into my engine! I may not be so nice next time. No vacancy!

I was working on my friends Mitsubishi Mighty Max pickup last weekend. I took off the upper intake manifold and found a nest with nutshells sitting there. His truck sits in his driveway during the school year while we are at school, so some squirrel or something made a nice home under there.
