Ok... i been thinking about coil sprung IFS... what a PITA. the actual coil that goes over the 2.5" diameter shock body just downt have room in there with the CV's.

So these Air shocks would be cool i think. I hear that they can support 1200lbs of sprung weight per shock. Just need some help figurein gsprung weight for IFS.

Do I count the axle as unsprung like i would for a Straigh axle truck or am i just counting the a-arms and wheel/tires as unsprung.

I am thinking that a 12" Air Shock will give me a better ride and allow me to loose teh torsion bars. that means more possible travel from my IFS.

A member here, asp84, was within inches of doing a coil conversion on his IFS. He was using ones off a 4Runner (later model). An offroad shop was doing it for him. He pulled out at the last second because he decided to sell the truck. You might want to give him a PM.

It's a great idea if you could do it relatively cheap.

well i shock hoop is all that would be needed for it if the weight is right... airshocks are super simple.
