Well... I've had mine fer a lil while now, and i've noticed no leaks of any sort, and within the next few weeks I'll be changin the oil, and will know how well it actually drains... But as of now, it's a worth while expense

I installed one at my last oil change... haven't had a chance to actually use it yet but so far no leaks.

Somewhere in this vast arena of knowledge there is a thread that is almost identical to this one. The valve mentioned there seems to have more of a on-off switch.

I would just be afraid of the spring ball that keeps the oil from draining out getting gummed up. If I understand it is kind of like a brass coupling on a air hose??

I will see if everyones works then I might think about getting one. That is a lot of faith in that lil baby. But it looks sweet.

I have a concerns about any device that may restrict any larger particles from flowing out of the oil pan when draining. If, god forbid, there happens to be any sludge in the oil pan for whatever reason, you would not know about it and it will remain in the pan. I think I will continue to do it the old fashioned way.

The other thing that come to mind when I see these devices is the threaded insert will add to the amount of oil that is not drained out. So there will be the possibility of a layer of crude forming on the bottom of the oil pan.

Just my thoughts, take them as you will.
