go visit the under the hood forum....or the "useful threads" and read the "Converting R-12 to 134a" thread. Freeze 12 is 80% 134a!! They add another refrigerant to carry the lubricant load... and it fractionalizes. My advice ? don't. In my opinion it is NOT a good drop in sub. May seem too good to be true - at first. Read the entire thread on conversion - draw your own conclusions..
Sorry I have not been around for some time, long boring story for some other day but... Also sorry for digging up an old thread.
After a month of alternative refrigerant research I have done a by the book Freeze-12 conversion with OUTSTANDING results.... On my Sidekick I am getting 34F air out the vents. No BS... I started of with a little too much pressure and once I got it right..... brrrr..
I say you are nuts if you go with R134. And no, I'm not selling freeze-12. Just very satisfied....
