Fresh Reman Trans - Truck will not move

1996 Ford Explorer 4.0L Automatic 4x4.

Just replaced the transmission with an Autozone reman 3 yr warrenty unit. In the process, the t-case was removed. When all was put back together, I put the truck in drive and the rig did not move. None of the gears work. I shutter to think that the reman transmission is defective. In the alternative, could the t-case be the culprit...as in an electrical issue?

Are you sure you got the torque converter all the way into the pump? It has to be turning the pump or the transmission will not make any pressure and it is easy to bolt it up without it engaging the pump.

I am not 100% certain. I am assuming that the only way to confirm the torque converter's proper positioning is to remove the transmission again. Is that correct?

if that's the case the pump is probley shot I have put 4 in from autozone the torque converter is never in all the way
