Front Camera

Just an up-date on the lock-pic cable/camera. Was able to fix the problem with the whole unit. had to solder, not wire clamp the front camera power, sloppy power connection. Went step by step real slow to make sure the right button was pushed at the right time, with the shift lever in the right position, for the unit to turn on or off the system as needed. Some directions are a bit of a PAIN, but worked through. The lock-pic is working like it should. keeping the papers in the Explorer just in case of lost power/battery change, and I need to reset everything. Pete

Guys, MyTouch Air Lockpick (https://camera-source.com/products/...e-camera-system-includes-mytouch-air-lockpick) provides the possibility to connect side view cameras such as Automotive Side Camera Kit (https://camera-source.com/products/...p-oe-fit-universal/automotive-side-camera-kit) as I understand. Totall cost is $897.00 - not too good, but in our conditions it may work.
The questions are: does anybody ever installed such kit at FE5, how to make connections with side cameras from mirrows and is it really works?

Welcome to the Forum EgenS.:wavey:
It would be helpful if you added the model of your Explorer to your profile so it always shows in the margin.
This camera proposition sounds like it may be a bit costly and would require quite a bit of work to integrate into the current system. Good luck if you go ahead with it.:)

Thank you Peter, I'll fill out everything when'll have time a bit later...
Ye a bit costly especially dollar rate / our currency went up twice now :( But I believe it is the best and of the contrary it is very simple to install in compare of. Or you have another expirience? :)

No, I have no experience with this type of option. If you do go head with it, I'm sure other members would like to see pictures and instructions on how to do it.;)
