i have a 1997 ford explorer 2wd, the front bearing need replaced, everyone that i talk to said that it would be a good idea to also replace my rotors sent my bearing race's are part of the rotors, i was wondering if their was a conversion i could do to so i dont have to replace bearings every time i do new rotors,
any help would be great

Probably not worth it.

On friday I will be doing a how to video on my 2wd ranger which is pretty much the same as the explorer. The vid should help a great deal if u wanna subscribe to my youtube page then you will be one of the firsts to see it. Thanks! Link in the signature.

so even if i get hubs for a mustang and use mustang brake parts for my truck

i really dont care about ride hight i plan on lowering this truck

All you need is a punch and knock out the old races. They are not part of the rotor. It would be a good idea to use a bearing race driver to put the new ones back, but a socket will work. I just did mine a few months ago.

+1 on this. The bearing races can be removed from the old rotor/hub if you need to. However, the last couple of times I have had to replace the rotor/hub, they came with new races in them. I just had to reuse the bearings themselves.

Sorry I thought he was just changin the bearings. Want really payin much attention. Like bobflood said, new rotors have the races installed already so just repack your bearings and you're good to go.
