Need help on Sport Track front conversion project!

Hi,

I have a 2001 4 door v8 limited xplorer and just starte my SportTrac front conversion.

The major problem is that I`m doing that down here in Brazil, South America and here is very hard to find parts.

I have already imported the front bumper, grill and headlighs and my body shop is ready to start.

The problem is that I need to cut the fenders front end and adapt the front end from a Sport Trac fender and I can`t find used fenders here it here.

I would really apreciate if someone from US could find some used/crashed sport trac fenders, cut the front and and send it down here.

Once we confirm it`s possible i intend to pay in advance, send a check ( I have bank account in Miami) or pay trough paypal.

Can I count on a friend from this forum to help me on that?

good luck!!!!!!!! I have been looking in my local junk yards for a sport trac front clip for the last two years. Every singke sport trac or late model sport I can find thats been totalled has been hit in the front, no usable front parts.

I have had some luck with online searches, but the stupid wrecking yards want as much as the parts cost new aftermarket

Have you considered just ordering some aftermarket fenders?

If you wanted to avoid ALL OF THIS HASSLE you could go with teh Mcneil front fiberglass fenders for the sport trac front end, these can be made to fit a Gen II truck (I have talked to Mcneil about this) and will accept the Sport trac front bumper and cornerlights

Is there an LMC truck catalog for Sport Tracs out yet? If there was he might be able to order some from there.

I picked up a bumper cover for my friends 01 sport trac he wrecked (slightly) it was like $160 cheap, good quality

they have fenders, hoods, etc prices are not too bad either

Well, I already have almost everything that I need. The only thing missing is the fenders front end (to fit the corner light shape). There are fenders for sale on e-bay but 1) they are brand new, 2) I need someone to cut it and send it via USPS to my country.

If someone find some used or crashed fenders and cut it there will be two small pieces to be mailed.

someone told me i can put an lincoln avator front on my sport but i dont think it could happen.

Ok, the project started

There it goes.

Thank you for the suggestions on the fenders front end issue. I coud´t find the original sport trac fender front end. Also the Perrys Mcneil fenders dowsn´t match the original bumper (the original bumper makes the turn under the corner ligh and continue till the fender flare, also Perrys fenders are too wide...). Considering that the body shopp guy started the manual fitting of the head lights, corner lights and bumper. I´m sending some pictures of this startup and will keep you guys aware of the conversion progress.
