My 98 Mountie is Supposed to be AWD, but doesn't have the front diff, d/s or obviously CV axels. I'm just wondering if the Diffs from the 4wd version is different as compared to the AWDs? I know my rear is a 3.73 so can i just find a donor X or Mountie with a 3.73 rear to steal the front diff from, or does it have to be a AWD to start with? Also what front d/s will fit? i know that there is the Double cardon (only the 4.0 had this from what i can find), and then the 4 bolt, and the 6 bolt "cup" shafts. IIRC mine is the 6 bolt cup on the t-case, Did the 4wds have the 6 bolt as well or just the AWDs? Sorry if its been discussed before but i did a quick search and didn't find what i was looking for, lol.
One last question, did any front diffs come with Limited slip from the factory? Would be sweet to have it on both ends this winter.
