how do you know thats whats squeaking?

well i would expect that to be the problem since it slid out over and inch and i just replaced the breaks like 3 or 4 months ago.

how could those pins squeak, they dont move. Or atleast if they do move its very very little.

its not he pin.. the pads have little pieces of metal in them and the rotor is made out of metal. so when two pieces of metal heat up and rub against each other you get that squeaking noise

Wow. Thanks for enlightening us.

Ok then, why dont all brakes squeak all the time then.

some how the pins moved...they were really worn out the rubber in the middle was squeazed out. and when the pins moved so did the brake assembly...

that dosent sound right, as long as the pins are still in the caliper is held side to side by the pads, and up and down by the knuckle and pin. If the pin was totally gone it would have moved, but not alot.

It just dosent make sense for the pin to make a sound.
