Front end conversion question???

Heres a short long answer...

The only thing the 1st and 2nd gens have in common in the front suspension is the frame width, and thats stretching it...

Theoretically, it can be done if your welding skills are up to par...but remember, the motor will have to come out, everything suspension wise will have to be ground off, the engine cross-member will have to be torched out and all the second gen bits will have to go on and be tig welded in place.

with all the measuring, welding, etc that would have to be done, you would need to be a damn good metal fabbist, and that's not sounding crappy or harsh against you, just how it is. It CAN be done, but you need to look at the reason of WHY it hasn't been done. its not really worth it IMO. And if you don't like the looks of the front hubs, get yea a set of later second gen wheels with the center caps, they will clear and hide the hubs from view :p: And trust me, first gen hubs are cheaper to replace then second gen hubs....
