try searching RADIUS ARM BUSHINGS.......... :dunno:

Have you replaced any of the bushings in the suspension in the past year or so? Ball joints don't squeak, if they are dry they will wear a give you play, but not squeak.

To be honest, no. I recently bought the truck off my brother and it was like tht for awhile.

now how many am i gonna need. is it just 2 sets or?

Its your ball joint i just replaced mine and i had the same prob!

Radius arm bushings, axle pivot bushings, sway bar end links all can cause squeaking. Old trucks = squeaks if they are not properly maintained.

Have you greased all the points in the front suspension where there are grease zerks? That includes ball joints, tie-rod ends and the u-joints if they have been replaced with the re-greasable kind...

sounds like control arm bushings to me .not a easy job either .best to take it to a garage .they will keep on making noise until they are replaced.oils and lubes will help very short term but it will come back .
been there done that.yes its very annoying, and the looks from other drivers doesnt help either...lol...

good luck.

Tell that to the driverside balljiont on my 94 cobra!! It squeaked up until the day the balljoint failed and the control arm dug into the inside of the rim.

not a very hard job to replace any of the bushings with the right tools. just do a little bit of research and you will find out the tools or tips and tricks needed to do the jobs.

I have a 94 explorer it did the same thing and it was my ball joints for those who say the dont squeak must have good ball joints. I sprayed a sh-t ton of penetrating lube on them and it quit long enough to tell me that was the problem. Pretty easy and about thirty bucks for both upper and lower joints at local auto parts store. I just rented there ball joint tool and had it done in like 3 hours and that included beer breaks haha. Good luck....just to let you know I had bad radius arm bushings on my truck and put new ones on before this ever started squeaking and they only clunked never squeaked.
