I've had the BFG's and liked them. They were a little stiff, but had a lot of traction for an all terrain, and wore very well.

front end noise

Mine made what sounded like a very wierd road noise.. almost a constant rubbing noise. Replaced my hub bearings (whatever those are) and vuala! good as new.
