front end noise!!!

Hello while I was driving home from work today.It sounded like I had a bad shock up front while going straight down the road.But when I turned it made a loud squeel sound kind of like metal to metal.sounds louder while turning to the left.But makes the noise either way I turn.Does anybody have any ideas what this could be?It has never had any noises like this!!Could this be the rack.

I would start by inspecting the brakes and wheel bearings.

Brakes look fine.And the truck can be in park and turn the wheels and makes the same noise.So I am thinking it must be somthing in the steering.

sway bar end links are fine.But thanks for the reply!!

check the bushings on the control arm.and all the grease fittings/bushings through out the fron end.

Is the noise in the power steering pump or in the serpentine belt?

no problem.i have the same noises,well had.its not really there any more because the bushing on the driver side is barely there.but im getting them replaced with polyurathane bushings in about a month when i get my tax return.good luck!
