front end rattle

hello I'm in need of some help. 1993 ranger 4x4 3.0 xlt, right front wheel area makes a rattle on rough paved roads,stops when brakes are applied.
new wheel bearings 1 yr ago new shocks 1 mo ago. don't see any odd wear.
thanks this is driving me nuts. I bought the truck new has 149,000 on it:

Sounds like a brake pad missing it's anti-rattle clip.

It's a little spring clip attached to the bottom "ear" on the inner brake pad (keeps the pad from moving up/down in the caliper, creating that knocking/clattering sound).

Installing the 6" Skyjacker lift was pretty much like any other. Grinding/drilling out the factory rivets holding the stock stuff on is the most tedious of any lift install. Most of the holes lined up fine, although on occasion you'll still need to chase a hole with the drill to get a bolt to pass through it. Also, the driverside extended radius arm (together with the D35 beam) needed a bit of grinding to allow the arm to fully seat forward enough to install the axle-to-arm bolts (seen this issue on a Rancho lift also).

maybe a 6 inch lift will stop the rattle? thanks again will check on saturday!

Huh?? The lift has nothing to do with the brakes...

(unless you're thinking it's something else rattling, then maybe...)

just tryed to trun a rattle into a lift,wife is to smart! HAHA was the clip new pads and rotors good to go. thank a great help
