Hey all, i've been making progress on the explorer and have the new 9" put in! Getting ready to make some wooden pads to sit the wheels on and moving to the front. Before I start tearing out the front though i'd like to see if those of you have done this have any advice on what measurements I should take? I am moving the front axle up about 2"s and extending the 79 ra's so nothing will be stock but I don't want to get half way in and have one of those "oh crap" moments. Any suggestions will be great...if yall just say "eyeball it and make it all straight" that's fine too :D

Looking at stic-o's thread, it seems that he attached to the extended radius arms to the axle. He then placed them under the trck at where he wants it to be and lifted the rad arms to see where he needs to put the mounts.

I had that particular idea myself! Would make sense...just let them fall where they fall and tweak from there.

I think i'll be heading back home next weekend and can head to the pull a part yard for my brackets. I found a 78 bronco there with both housings (HP D44 and 9") If someone here would be intrested I could pull them for you for a price (cost at yard + small labor), wanted to get the ra brackets then but didn't have the right tools :(
