I have noticed that my front tires are starting to wear on the inside of tire a alot more than the outside. If you stand back away from the truck and look at the two front tires they look like there are not level, they are kind of pigeon toed or wedged, I am sure there is a name for this but I don't know what it is. I was wondering if there was something getting worn out that causes this, and how big of a job it is to fix.

More specifically than the alignment it sounds like your tires are off camber. Are they like this: /\ ? A good alignment (read: good alignment shop) should fix it, but sometimes a really off camber situation will require a little more than a basic alignment. Also, make sure your tires have the proper air pressure. Most members recommend 30-35 psi for normal city/highway use.

Yep you need an alignment. Make sure you have them check it after they drive it around about 150 feet or so. That seems to set it a tad bit better and sometimes a little more adjustment is needed.

Is your truck lifted ? if so then you need to have new "problem solver" type camber bushings installed (this needs to be done at an alignment shop). If you don't have a lift then bring it into an alignment shop. Have them do an inspection fo the front end. Alot of times this indicates that the ball joints are going bad. But if everything looks good. Have an alignmet job done, but make sure you stress that you want the camber bushings adjusted. (most shops this costs more) I had my front end aligned three times after I lifted it before I realized, I had to ask to have the bushings adjusted. Alot of times the alignment shops will align the truck and then back it into the parking spot before calling you to pickup you car. The reason they do this is because the Explorer tires tend to go into a natural looking position when they are backed up. as soon as they roll forward they assume the towed in appearance.

I would start off with an alignment. If it's more than an alignment that you need, the guys at the shop will b sure to tell you.
