Hello Everyone, I'm new to this forum and looking for a little help. In 10/2014 I purchased an '05 Explorer XLT, v6, 4WD with 92K miles with some minor under body rust (road salt ??) and some minor rust bubbles around one fender and door. Seemed like a good deal but now the bad news --- there is a low level whine from the left front of the engine (driver side). I've replaced the belt and the idler pulley but it did not resolve the noise. It seems to be coming from either the power steering pump or the AC compressor. Any Ideas? The second issue is when I turn on the Heat or the AC I hear what sounds like a flap opening and closing over and over. I assume it may be related to redirecting the air flow but I really don't know. I can adjust the temperature and "sometimes" get it to stop.
