Front hitch swap question

I used to own a 1999 4 door that I bought to tow behind my motor home. Turned out to be too much for it. I sold it and now have an 01 Explorer Sport.
I had installed a front mount on the 99 and removed it before I sold it. I want to mount the old one on to the sport. I am thinking of getting a light weight front plow for it. Any idea if the bolt patterns are the same?

from what i recall, the sport and the sport trac have the same frame, given your year

the 1999 door has the same frame as a 3rd gen iirc also

Nope..

1999 4 Door has a different frame than a 2001 Sport.
The sport was redesigned in 2001.

It won't bolt right on, but you can make it fit with some drilling/welding I think.
