Front Hitch

I dig it. The front mount hitches that you can buy mount UNDER the frame rails while yours mounts in between the frame rails. Tried the First Gen Ex front mount on my BII and it hangs down annoyingly low. Adding this to my list of spring projects.

Do the mounting holes line up with anything on the frame or did you have to drill new ones?

I believe 2 used the same holes as the bumper but the back 2 needed to be drilled..i can double check tomorrow.

I have a 3" body lift so remember if you dont and copy mine to the T,it may come out into the bumper.the bumber "may" have to be notched. ..

But yea i made the front and rear so its between the frame. .not only do anything else made hangs to low but with a body lift its even lower than the bumper and looks like complete poop..

I shouldve made a couple of these up to sell..ive gotten alot of request or interest..lol

Fyi idk if i told or not but the part the hitch plugs into i bought at harbor freight. .rest of metal i had laying around

I have thought of something like this to use as a winch point. I don't need a winch presently but it was an idea that trolled through my head.

One of the main reasons i made it..so i can plug the winch in the front or rear..or just have a strong tow point..i havent gotten stuck ""YET"" so haven't purchased one yet,of course be too late then..lol

I have the Limited bumper on mine, and I thought of hiding something like this behind the bumper. I also contemplated utilizing a fold down GM license plate bracket to gain access to the front hitch, mostly to keep it sort of clean after cutting a hole in the bumper.

A hidden front mount hitch is a slick idea. I'm gonna have to learn to weld... Simple as that
