I have a humming noise that starts at about 25mph and gets worse the faster your go. When you go around a left curve the noise goes away and comes back once going in a straight line again. It stays the same when turning to the right. Im thinking left front wheel hub???? Axles dont hummer when they go bad right... they click????

2" TT and AAL with 32" tall tires just completed and it did this on the old set of tires too.

Any help would be great, Thanks.

Left (front if the noise is coming from there...rear if from rear) wheel or axle bearing...just as you suspected. When you turn left, you unload the bearing and the noise goes away.

Suprise! It was the right side wheel hub. I had a funny feeling it wasnt the normal opposite side thing. I guessed right on the first try. Luckly cause the wheel hubs are 150 a piece. Ouch!!!!

I have the same thing happening on my wife's 96. I pressed the old (from driver's side replaced last year) hub / bearing assy a part to see if I could get the number off the bearing to rebuild it. There are 2 tapered roller bearing in this and the out races are machined into the part that bolt to the spindle. Guess I have to bite the bullet and spend around $170 again to fix the passenger side.

a word of wise. might invest in a alignment. i cooked two on the same side in a year. had warrenty on the hub, but still not a fun job.

Yeah I would agree. It got bad really quick once I did the TT lift.
