why dont you want a torsion twist? theres no way you can mess anything up since youre 2wd. you can do 3 or more inches of torsion lift

i highly doubt you can get 3 inches of lift with the torsion bars, that would put way too much strain on them, and i dont think the bolts are that long any way. Your lucky if you get two inches of lift with the torsion bars.

There are people here running 5" of lift with the TT on their 2wd Explorers. You may have to get longer bolt but I can be done.

You can prolly get 3-4" with extended bolts.........but it would ride like a brick!!

Not sure what to tell ya about the original question.

i dont wanna do TT.. cause my friends got a X with TT.. and it drives like a freGGin Tank... i feel every bump we hit and the camber setup is weird.. I don't wanna mess anything up...

With the spindle lift already you don't need to do much TT. 2-2.5" will be fine. Every X is different and some ride harder than others, but that's pretty much how to lift the front more without going really expensive.

As for your friend's alignment, any good shop should be able to properly align after a TT.

You could always do a 2" body lift.

The draw back of a TT is you loose down travel as you lift it.

What about Gage's 4" Trailmaster? I wonder if he still has it for sale.

Section, this is for a 2wd Mounty thats he is trying to lift.

yeh.. by the way, what do you guys think if I keep my manik grill guard while trying to gO prerunner? is that funny?

I'm sorry. I must have missed the part where the front suspension differs between the two! :D :D

Clark.. the trailmaster kit utilizes the stock spindles, correct? That means that this kit should work on your 2WD if you put your stockers back on. I'll go out side and get some pics to make sure the spindles are the same (at least the top part where the trailmaster extension hooks too).

You could be a new pioneer in the 2wd Explorer suspension world if this works and you do it! :D

Minor mistake everybody makes, them dont feel bad.;)

I forgot to mention that the spindles that he has wouldnt work with the trailmaster kit. It might work if he replaces them with the stock ones. Would deffinetly be a new thing.

The things I do for you Clark.....

:D

Here is the 4WD on the right, 2WD on the left:

In my professional *cough* opinion.. I think they're the exact same.

I'd maybe get Ray Lobato over here. He's the Trailmaster Master... master. :D

i dunno if i wanna do that if it costs alot.. I just recently bought my procomp spindle lift and already wanna swap it out for a special camburg or mcneil coilover long travel lift which is gonna be custom next year... I wish i had long travel!!!! i feel as if the spindle lift is just for show, I jumped my friends X with a spindle lift and bent his spindles, We only jumped it at 35mph and gained only 3 feet of air on the front tires and still bent both spindles..

Well trucks aren't meant to be jumped. Especially 3 feet. If you want to jump 3 feet in the air in a heavy ass truck you need a full custom long travel front and back.
