I can get the Front Passenger side window to go down, I can get it to go up...but if the window goes ALL OF THE WAY DOWN, it will not come back up.

I have taken the whole assembly out of the door NUMEROUS times trying to track down the problem, to no avail!

I know it's not the motor. I have replaced the bushings with metal bearings. I cleaned the contacts on the motor itself. I can't be the motor, as the window WILL go up and DOWN...the window will go down, and I have gotten it within 1/2" of all of the way down, and it will go back up. No problem. It's when it goes 100% down, it won't go back up without pulling the whole assembly.

Are there any adjustments that can be made? Or do I just need to replace the regulator?

Thanks,
Ryan

Does the motor try to bring it back up after going 100% down? ( a humming or grinding noise)

Do the lights dim when you try to bring it up afterward? (meaning the motor is pulling too many amps due to a bind-up somewhere in the mechanism)

Could be the Motor has a bad spot right there on either the contacts in the motor or the gears in the gearbox....

Some pics might help :D

Yes, there is a definite click in the motor like it is trying to push the window up.

My lights are not dimming though.....I have upgraded my electrical system, 2 Optima Batteries, 200A alternator, 1/0 wires from ALT to Bat., Frame to Bat., and Engine to Frame....so it takes A LOT of draw to make my lights dim!

I also thought of the 'dead spot' in the motor, but I have taken it apart numerous times, rotated the stator....same thing all over again....

Pics wouldn't do anyone any good in THIS case...as it LOOKS normal...but SOMETHING is hanging!

okay....

I tore it apart, yet AGAIN!..

I rolled the window UP...then I rolled the window DOWN...then I got it to roll UP again...

Not really sure what the deal is...but for NOW it is fixed. I'll bring this topic back to the top again if it does it again.
