The first thing to do is to get your owners manual out and look under fuses. Find the slot for the power point that has the problem and check the fuse. Don't just look at the fuse but actually test it.

You didn't mention checking the fuse, so the first thing, as JAPeterson pointed out, is to check it if you haven't already done so. All four 12V power points have their own fuse.
