I own a 2017 Explorer Sport with AWD.

Does this generation of AWD Explorer have a tendency to wear front tires faster than rear or vice versa (considering alignment is to spec.)?

I ask because I didn't mark my winter tires before storing them.

I don't believe this has been an issue, especially if tires are rotated on a regular basis. The ones with the least wear should be mounted on the front. Mine only get rotated with the OEM/Winter swaps and are done front to back only.

I find that the AWDs wear very evenly.

I generally measure tread before they go on, and put the best ones up front. The difference is well within 1/32nd of all four.
