front sagging, solution?

Sorry but you are mistaken. From bottom up on a Spring Under Axle you have

Shock Mount (which is the bottom spring clamping plate)
Leaf Spring
Axle

By placing a block in between the spring and axle all your doing is *Raising* the axle higher of the spring hence lowering the vehicle. The Shock mount stays the same.

You are wrong on this one. The extra 1" block under the axle will make the shock plate hang 1" lower. There is no way around it. The axle will still be the same distance from the ground due to the wheels and tires holding the axle up. Just the block and shock mount will be lower. Clearance will be lost by 1".

Sorry but I am right. Look at my truck. If I where to put a lowering block inbetween the Spring and axle the shock mount woud not move at all.

Umm...

 Umm...yeah it would.

Your reference is the axle. The axle is supported by the tires and will only change height if the tire size is changed. Put a 1" block underneath the axle and you are spacing out the springs from the reference by 1" down. Hence, you have lowered the mount by 1". :)

Yes you are right..............................I've lost my MIND!! :) :) I was originally thinking that you thought the block would go underneith the Spring and shockmount.

Yes, yes it would. Does you explorer float on air? I doubt it. How would the axle move up 1", tires touch ground, and no clearance is lost. You are wrong, we have all been wrong, just admit it and quit being an ass. Think for a minute and you will understand. You went to all the trouble to take a pic, but not think about it. Just quit, your wrong.

Read post 19.......my point was that if you needed a 3" lift spring but installed a 4" lift spring and 1" lowering block then the shockmount would not be any lower with either spring.....

Mac
The shock mount will be lower with the 4" spring and 1" block. Just quit, you are wrong. Admit it. I don't like calling people out, but when you are wrong, you are wrong. If you don't know what you are talking about don't post, just to post and make your post count go up. Ask questions and learn, thats what this site is for.

Moron...... if you look up I already admitted I was wrong. Who the hell would post **** for their number to go up??? Is that what you do??

No need for name calling. I didn't see that you had posted a few minutes before me stating that you were wrong because you didn't know where the block went. But you are still off; if the 1" block went under the spring and shock mount, the clearance would still be lost by 1"
