Front seat removal...01 ST

I haved an 01 ST ans the outside of the drivers seat is ripped. I was wondering if I could swap the front seats...move passenger to driver, and visa versa. I have leather and realize the inside of the seats is not leather, but would rather have that than a big rip.

Is this possible and how?

In general, no. The side controls for power movement and lumbar adjustment are usually cut into the side of the seat and if you look at the sides, the inner side will probably have a fabric change for wear against the center console. It sucks, but nope, not possible.

Even the non-power seats are cut differently...

Keep your eye on Craigslist. There have been numerous Sport Tracs being parted out in your part of the state, Fayetteville, Clayton, Wilmington, etc. Unfortunately I don't see them on there now but they may show back up.

Also do a http://www.car-part.com search for them. Sport and Sport Trac seats are interchangeable.
