Hey there to all.
I was just diagnosed with bad front shocks,
so that means that the factory junk ones need to be replaced. and I was just looking for suggestions on front shocks, something around the middle, not cheap junk ones and not million dollar one.

So fire me some suggestions

thanks

Its a 92 and still has stock shocks.....i'd say any kind would help.

I had the Pro-comp 3000's on the front of mine and they were pretty soft, I'd go with a Rancho 5000 or the 9000X

It depends on what you use your X for, how and where you drive, if you think it should ride like the truck it is or prefer a softer ride!
You want the best bang for the buck and don't mind it riding like a truck go with Rancho RS5000's

You want a softer ride try Monroe Sensa Tracs.

i need something with a bit of strength
as i am getting a snowplow for it next year

Shocks don't have "srength" as far a holding up a vehicle, they only serve to cushion the suspension and prevent it from bouncing. The springs are what hold the vehcle up.
If it were my vehicle I'd go with the Rancho's.

i need ones that are not as bouncey as the ones i got,
if you push down on the front of my truck once
it will bounce up and down like 5-6 times.

when I took it to the shop to get checked, thay said the shocks were bad. I told him next year i'm getting a plow. and he said go with strong shocks.

I don't like the Rancho's. Have RS9000x's on and they don't work to well on pavement like my Edlebrocks did. Great off road shock though. I will be replacing them with Monroe Reflex in the next several weeks.

Any new shock will keep the front end from bouncing like the worn out stockers do. I'd look into getting the adjustable Rancho's up front so when you want you can stiffen it up. I had the Rancho 9000's and loved them.
