I have a 2002 Ex Sport. The AC blows cold, and all the vents work according to the dial position. The problem is I have no heat what so ever. The vacuum vavle by the pulleys is working, I flushed the heater core and it flows great now and wasnt really that dirty. But still no heat...... What else should I be looking at? Every post Ive read about the blend door I assumed that you would have no heat or AC. Please any sugestions would be greatly appreciated.

I flushed the heater core and it didn't change anything. I guess its time to tear apart the dash :(

Well... I pulled the actuator off the blend door, turned the blend door with my fingers(it turns freely), plugged the actuator in out of dash and checked it (works great), reinstalled the actuator in dash and turned the heat knob to make it work, then pulled it out to check position of blend door. it all checked out ok. So i conclude that the blend door, actuator is not the problem. I then pulled the vac line off the valve located behind the belt pulleys under the hood to check vac. It has no vac on heat setting and lots of vac on max ac. Also I can visibly see the switch working when he knob is turned. Ive flushed the heater core. It had great flow and was pretty clean after 2nd flush. BUT I STILL HAVE NO HEAT :dunno: there is heat in the inlet line to the heatercore, hot enough i cant hold it for more then a second or two, the outlet line gets warm. Its hot but can still hold it without burning my hand. Where do I go from here? What am I missing?

I finally got a chance to tear into the problem. I flushed the entire coolant sytem and while I had the coolant out I removed the valve that is on return line from the heater core. The vavle looked like it was operating normal but was jammed closed on the inside blocking the coolant flow. I removed it all together and replaced it with a $1.50 washout tee. I now have lots of heat. Problem solved
