Just changed out the fuel filter, but one of the lines won't fully engage. The other line slipped right in and I *thought* I heard a click. For the line that won't fully engage it, it looks like it needs about another 0.25 inch. It doesn't want to disengage either so I am thinking it is OK. I put the retaining clip on and that should prevent it from pulling out due to the lip on the filter.

I ran it for a few minutes and there was no fuel dripping. I upped the RPM to about 4k and still no drips. Think it is OK? The line doesn't want to go in all the way, no matter how hard I push it in. Could it be a manufacturing tolerance or something?

Spray the hose connections...

With wd-40 or some other lightweight lubricant...When I change my fuel filter, I have had no problems at all with the filter ends engaging completely... The "click" is an indication that the lip on the filter lines at properly engaged into the connector ends...You have the metal lines inserted into an o-ring as well but the connector retainer is a mechanical connection to hold the fuel lines in place...I would definitely verify the filter is being retained in place...

Plus it makes the next removal and replacement so much easier...
