Fuel Filter Tool

is there any substitute for the fuel filter removal tool?

There are several different manufactures of fuel line disconnect tools. There are plastic and metal versions. Are you having difficulty using a particular tool, or are you just asking if they are available?

stupid me

stupid me left the tool at my folks house while home for turkey day - didnt realize until i went to grab it.

im going to see if a "modified" marker cap will get the job done.

I wouldn't fool arround with the fuel filter connector; just go buy another tool.

Maybe you could borrow one from Autozone's tool loaner program with a deposit?

The cap may work, but mostly I've seen it used in conjunction with the fuel line tool for a better fit.. As mentioned by Aldive it would probably save you time and aggravation if you just picked up a new tool.

You can borrow mine, but you didn't say where you are (are you in Boston?)

The tool itself can be a pain to use. A rigged tool may cause more headache then spending the 6 bucks.
