fuel filter under driver side

How do you get these lines loose from the old filter I have never delt with this type before. The fuel pump came with two little white doohickies but i am still needing help.:exp:

Just to add. It usually helps to push teh lines in toward the filter then pull away.
Major dumb system IMO.

idk, IMO fuel filters of this style are the easiest I can think of to change, and a really good system. They are simple, and hard to screw up. How many screw on fuel filters have you seen in your life that some well meaning person rounded off the flare nut. These ones are hard to screw anything up on.
