fuel filter????????

i've bought, AND returned 3 fuel filters in the past week.

they come with some aligator style clamp, and it is completely different than what i have... (idk what its called)

i ask the people behind the desk, carquest, napa AND autozone, and they don't have clamps like i need.

should i just go to a ford dealership for this?

most likely you have the right fuel filter. the alligator clamp you see that comes with them is not needed for all cars. some use them and others dont. do a search here as they have quite a few how to's on changing it if you dont already know. also some of them have pictures

I second that. I just changed my buddies Cavalier's fuel filter and didn't have any use for the clip that came with it. They include the clip because the filter cross-refferences to many vehicles and some require the clip. Cheap mass production.

but my truck has some clamp on both ends. and its rusted out and i need new ones. but none of the places have those clamps in stock.
