Fuel filter

Of all the fuel filters I changed in my life this one seems weird.....no clips to remove to disconnect.....Never seen this setup before........so how do you disconnect? Hope it's not one of those things NEED SPECIAL TOOL....it's bull crap....I know all about releasing pressure before doing filter and all....this is embarrassing
Oh this is for my 2004 ST...Standard 4.0 V6 Non flex fuel

I hate these damn fuel connectors that we have. I've struggled for hours before trying to get them apart. When I changed my fuel pump recently I couldn't get the fuel line off the used pump I bought using that special tool. So I sawzalled it off!
