Fuel pump help

I am in the middle of replacing the fuel pump in my 94 explorer... I have dropped the tank, and am 3/4 of the way done. I cant get the friggin fuel lines to release. I have the plastic tools for this as well as the metal one. Neither of them are releasing the lines. Is there a trick to it or can someone give me some pointers. I am horribly frustrated...

Welcome to this forum! There are different sizes of these spring lock coupling release tools. Some brands work better than others. Which set are you using?

I went to the parts store and got the right ones after many stupid parts people.. I got it fixed finally. Thanks for the welcome, I will be visiting often.
