My truck has been running terrible lately. It runs rich, has a rough idle, CEL with a rich code, and pings like crazy. And yesterday, I noticed a few moments after cutting it off, the fuel pump cut on. Its a low hum, loud enough to hear from walking near the truck. After a while, it starts to hiss and pop too, like it is getting real hot. I've been disconnecting the fuse when I hear it cut on now. But tonight I was at a friends, and when I came outside it was humming and popping, and the truck wouldn;t start. It would cut on and then die. So I pulled the fuse, let it sit for a few minutes, and then it started up, ran for about 10 seconds and died. Finally, it started up and I made it home. I don't know whats happening. I just replaced the fuel filter, about 2 weeks ago, but I don't think it's leaking. Could it be the charcoal canister or the vent?

First off, the "rich" code actually means that the engine is running lean. This is also the reason you have a pinging problem! From the description it sounds like you have more than one problem. I really don't know where to start, but I recomend having the fuel pressure tested to determine what is happening with the pump.
