Fuel pump problem...or not???

hello all,bought a 1998 explorere limited....ran great for 4 months,than would not start,not getting fuel(couldn"t hear it hmmmm)..called for roll back,got it to the garage,fired right up...ran it 1 week,same thing..towed to the garage,it fired again...garage put a "new" fuel pump on,ran great for approx. 3 months,one evening it wouln"t start again,no fuel pump hummm.had a low sensor that was replaced....towed to garage ,fired right up...ran 2 days, same thing....towed to garage,fired up....ran 3 days,towed to garage,fired right up.the garage checked relays by switching them.....now been running ia for 3 weeks,no problem,but have no faith to let my son run it eveyday to college and back......garage says they can"t fix something thats not broke...drving me crazy...rlc2020

Welcome to this forum! It was most likely a relay problem all along since it's a common issue.

Agreed, put a new fuel pump relay in it. They are only about $8 and takes 5 minutes to install.
