hello, my name is josh, and i own a 1996 Ranger with a 3.0 v6, and i just recently had a problem where my fuel pump just died, now i removed the bed and decided to go backwards and test the fuel pump and well give it a tune up, and replace what needs to be replaced, now the Fuel pump works, i tested the actual plug, and im getting 0 volts, so im wondering can it be the FP relay? or some other electrical component, but my question is, i cant seem to find what each relay does. :( maybe someone can point me in the right direction.

thank you very much

-josh.

here is a picture of what i have.

Thank you! i think this should help me find the problem fast.

Also, be sure to check the Inertia Fuel Shutoff Switch which is intended to turn off the fuel pump after a collision. It is located below the dash above the passenger side foot well and can be reset manually. Sometimes, a passenger will kick it or it can be triggered while offroading. Sometimes, it just decides to go over to the Dark Side and needs to be replaced.
