Something you could try is to remove one relay each night and see if you can tell a difference. You talk about a slow voltage drain, how can you tell...slow cranking in the morning? If so, if you try this, you can eliminate them one by one. Just be sure to put it back in before trying to start in the morning.

I would recommend that you buy a service manual if you plan to keep your Explorer for a while. It contains a lot of interesting procedures to diagnose problems and is worth its weight in gold when you get one of those problems you just can't seem to figure out. I have a Haynes manual and it only cost me $10-15 at Autozone or Advance.

I have the problem of battery slowly draining. Believe that one of the three relays under the fuse blocks is to blame. Which one? At $20 a pop, I want to get the right one. The black one seems to be stuck on, but maybe one of the other ones is telling it to stay on.

I had this problem with my 92 Navajo and I traced it back to the EEC relay that's in the local your referring to. I think it was the middle one but you should confirm this with your manual.
