i put a 429 bb in my 91 explorer and i was wondering if my aftermarket fuel pump will pull fuel past the stock in tank pump or do i need to remove it?

You can leave the pump in there and attach your fuel line to the return nipple on the sending unit but you will have to remove the rubber tip off the return line inside on the end of the sending unit cause it acts like a one way valve. Otherwise, you could extend the supply line with the pump removed so it reaches the bottom of the tank. Another option would be to replace the pump with a low pressure pump from a E150 van in-tank pump.
You could put a fuel pressure regulator after the stock pump to reduce the psi but I don't know if the pump would last long with that set up.

thanks for the info, i thought about a regulator but it would be one less thing to buy if my pump works
