if the fuel pump comes on (98 4.0 sohc) does this mean that the fuel pump relay is good? also where is the fuel pump relay, and inertia switch located?one more question how do u get the fuel lines off the fuel filter. do they make a tool for that?

They make a special tool for the fuel filter which you can get at most parts stores.

If engine runs properly, fuel pump is operating.......no doubt! imp

the interia switch is under the glove box behind a flap of carpet, the fuel pump relay is under the hood in the black power box with the fuses.
